| Details | We invite you to be a part of a night to remember! Attend Mines Action Canada 1st Annual GTA Gala on Friday, February 5th, 2010 at the Pearson Convention Center (2638 Steeles Avenue East, Brampton). This GTA Gala initiative is to create awareness regarding the impact of landmines and cluster bombs, as well, to remind Canadians of our leadership in mine action and human rights. This Gala is an initiative lead by youth advocates and volunteers for the MAC GTA chapter. Not only is this an awareness building and fundraising initiative but most importantly the main goal of this event is to mobilize Canadians in the GTA and inform them of the impact Canadians can have in the lives of innocent victims of landmines and cluster bombs in the world. MAC GTA Gala is a formal event open to the Greater Toronto community and all. This night will be highlighted by our international guest speakers including a landmine survivor, who will be telling their story and issuing a special call to action to Canadians. The night will also be filled with diverse entertainment and guest speakers. Some of our special appearances will include Executive Director of MAC, Paul Hannon, a live acoustic performance, a Fair Trade Silent Auction and much more! Doors open at 6:00pm.
